deep thoughts by Tara

Cleanliness is next to

       G0DLINESS.

What is it about the emanate birth of a baby that compels me to clean out cupboards, wash baseboards, dust every ceiling fan, was every blanket, and on and on?

My nesting has become less thorough with each child.  Before Julia was born I literally washed all of the ceilings.  With three in tow I do not have the time or disposition to be so detailed, but this phenomenon referred to as nesting, is so intriguing to me.  Today while cleaning behind my dresser I wondered why having a new baby brings this on?  Is it the lack of motivation I will have once the baby comes to accomplish these kinds of tasks (I’ve never in 4 years cleaned behind my dresser), or wanting my home germ free (impossible) for this precious little one?

I think it is something much more.  I am preparing to meet a…

fresh

from heaven

I can’t think of a better time to clean out the fridge (although according to Julia there is no food in heaven, she is quite concerned about that, but that’s for another post… another time)!

Interesting thing - I experienced nesting prior to beginning nursing school. It surprised me but it was the exact feeling I had before my babies were born. I'm thinking it's a natural instinct that kicks in anytime us mothers feel a mighty change coming on.
Can't wait for your little might change to come!!

I never did nest.... also never had a contraction. I am just not meant to be a mom. BUT I LOVE the 3 column layout. You will have to tell me how you did that.

Not being pregant I sometimes wish I got the "nesting" feeling like once a week. Maybe I'd actually get my deep cleaning done with. Garnder Village is really fun, but it doesn't compare to Roca Berry Farms. That place was so fun and had the pumpkin patch and all. But if you are up in October, Gardner Village is a fun place to go.
