It was 80's day at school today. Julia really wanted to dress up. With our limited 80's garb {I suppose I should have kept my florescent parachute pants, but somehow I didn't foresee them ever having their glory days return} we did our best.
In the process of doing her hair she informed me that is wasn't crazy hair day. I informed her that indeed it wasn't... it was crazy hair decade.
I envied Veronica {the teenage girl who lived down the street}. Her bangs must've stood a foot high and I swear she used an entire bottle of hairspray daily! I tried many times to replicate it with no success. I did have my fair share of keds tennis shoes, bold colored socks, and unit belts. You don't think they'll ever bring back the unit belt, do you?
Without bangs or hair long enough for a sweet side pony, we did our best to bring the 80's back. She was so worried that she would be the ONLY ONE not matching, with pegged pants, turquoise eye shadow, and hair wings. Too funny... when I was in school you wouldn't dare show up without pegged pants. Can you imagine the harassment and embarrassment that would've been yours if you hadn't spent 20 minutes perfectly pleating your socks?
What did your favorite outfit look like in the 80's?

Cute girl! Too bad miss Stella and her don't live a stone's throw away anymore.
My perm was my fav and I sometimes have to stop myself from doing it now. She is really cute. How is it she made the eye shadow look pretty?
