5 things I’ve learned about life. today.
when your phone rings… answer it! {it may be your neighbor calling to inform you that your child is at their house because you are not home and they are out of school and locked out of the house. maybe. just maybe. I ignored a similar phone call. I won’t bother giving my really good excuse at to why I was not home}.
children’s black soccer socks can double as men’s dress socks {we won’t mention how many dirty pair of real dress socks were piled in the corner. you decide who’s problem that is. the launderer or the sock wearer}???
there’s no need to smell the week old chicken quesadilla found rotting away in your purse-- just throw it away!
baby bottles have a magical way of disappearing {and then reappearing after you replace them}.
last but not least…{I’ll let you guess where?} --at some fine markets-- you can open a package of bottles {spare me the lecture about boiling the bottle first—I quit that 3 children ago} ;), can of formula, bottle of water & make a bottle {before purchasing}, and have 5 or so employees walk right past you without so much as flinching? {Now that’s my kind of store}!
***BONUS LESSON LEARNED TODAY***—life with 4 children is chaos and I need a professional organizer.
{I’m currently accepting applications}.

Ha Ha Ha. Tara, this was great. If I was closer I would love to help! Hope things are going well for you're little family and that new casa. :)
Tara - you are HILARIOUS! I seriously can't wait until we are in the same ward. It's going to be SO FUN!
Shut up! You are going to be in the same ward? That is so great. Will you help James and I house hunt in a year? We ONLY have a year and a half left:)
Tara, You are great. I have opened milk and put it in a sippy cup at the store. You do what you have to so you don't go crazy.
you make me laugh.
i do the same thing at unnamed store. shh don't tell.
I was blog hopping and found your blog! It's beautiful! I loved this post - thanks for the smile today!
I can't believe your neglectful ways... leaving your children unattended and unable to even get in the house! What sort of mother would do that! I may have to rethink letting my children come over!
haha, I've totally done that in Walmart, making a bottle with a new bottle, water & formula before I buy it. Desperate times. I love reading your blog, you have such a creative way of writing. Thanks for sharing.
p.s you're a great mom!
