LET IT SNOW!

Photobucket

Our night & day enjoying the Frosty Air was delightful and frightful.  I didn’t realize how quickly it was coming down and long story short, we ended up spending the night at my sister’s house!  The kids are in heaven in this Winter Wonderland!

Lincoln spent the day with his friend/cousin Spencer having snowball fights and destroying other’s snowmen, what a Good Samaritan.

Julia couldn’t get enough of it.  We started out at the Vanderhoven’s eating, drinking, and merrily playing in the midst of the storm. Even in her capris and sandals she didn’t want to come in out of the snow (maybe being born in Nebraska has affected her blood afterall).

Audrey loved “sinking” (what she called walking in the snow) and licking the snow (hopefully not too much yellow).

Owen- well I tried to take his picture during the snowstorm, but Steph said my photography had gone too far and rescued him from the storm before I got a good shot (what was the big deal, he was well bundled).

As for Bob- bah humbug- he went into the office. Even though I plead for him to take the day off!  I suppose it’s good someone has a job to pay for all the Christmas goods, not to mention the flat tire he got tooling about in the snow!

So cute, Audrey and Aspen snuggling to thaw out after being out in the snow!

Day Two-

Armed with laundry baskets and garbage bags we set out to sled.  The kids found abandoned skateboards and broken sleds, which they preferred over our supplies- insulting.  They had a divine time in this white bliss, except Audrey that is, she had had enough.

I had to put this one in of the una-tooth.  Lincoln has one front tooth fully grown in and as you can see no sign of the others, poor kid!

The girls were having so much fun, but Audrey was officially done!

Looking good Steph!

Only in the desert is a snowman half rocks/half snow.  Poor Stephanie had to heft that all by herself!

What a surprise to have a “White Christmas” here in our desert oasis.  I suppose I better start doing all of those things on my list- you know the one, when hell freezes over I’ll...  Sherrae, I suppose I’ve finally realized the true meaning of Christmas :).

I made your blog! That was the best Christmas present ever, not to mention it was even a few days BEFORE Christmas. Unlike the B-Day present I had to wait for until you finished reading it. :)
